EDF rates up 7% as price freeze ends on 2nd March
EDF has just announced that their price freeze will end on 2nd March with a 7.5% rise in electricity prices and 6.5% rise in gas.
EDF had been the only one of the big six providers not to raise prices this winter.
This price rise will make EDF's standard tariff the second most expensive of the big six, ( eon, Scottish power, British gas, Sse, Edf and npower) behind nPower. However, their online tariffs remain amongst the cheapest, Consumers need to check their bills and make sure they're not on a standard tariff.
