Not switching gas and electricity providers costs £4bn a year

People refusing to switch their gas or electricity suppliers could be costing Britain's energy customers £4 billion a year in wasted opportunities, recent research has calculated.

A study by industry regulator Ofgem has found that 58% of cheap energy consumers have never carried out an energy comparison to find the best deal for them, while 57% admit to feeling apathetic towards such a process.

The winter months are now upon us and this is when individuals use 40% of their yearly energy consumption, so now is a good time to be comparing gas and electricity prices. Why pay more then you have to?
